Mliswa gives food aid to Mahwindi hit by COVID-19 lockdown.
Hon Temba Mliswa the Norton legislator on Monday 11 May 2020 handed over food support to hundreds of Norton touts (Mahwindi), drivers and labourers at Koshens ground.

Their transport sector has been hard hit by the COVID-19 lockdown which was declared late March 2020.

Speaking through his twitter handle, Hon Temba Mliswa said, "The heavily informalised nature of the Zimbabwe economy means many have quickly fallen into hard times. The initiative to support mawhindi (touts) complements earlier programs where we supported the elderly, vulnerable and the disabled"
The COVID-19 lockdown has hit hard the transport sector and many of these touts, like many Zimbabweans, don't have alternatives .

Hon Temba Mliswa handed over over food packages that included cooking oil, mealie meal and cabbages to over 300 Mahwindi and kombi drivers from his Norton Constituency. The Norton legislator has for the past month, been assisting the most vulnerable who are the hit most by the COVID-19 induced hunger.
