The Zimbabwe Government through the Zimbabwe National Roads Administration (ZINARA) has announced new tollgate fees and vehicle license fees for all travelers in Zimbabwe with effect from Thursday 9 July 2020.
According to the Statutory Instrument
published in the Government Gazette on Wednesday the new tollgate fees regulations light
vehicles will now pay in Zimbabwe Dollars $45 up from $10.
Minibuses will pay $70 up from $15, buses $90 from $20, heavy vehicles $115 from $25 and haulage trucks $225 from $50. If you live within 10km of a toll gate can pay $50 a day without any discount or $3 000 a month.
The four month new vehicle license fees are as follows:
- Up to 1500kg $750
- 1501kg to 2250kg $950
- 2251kg to 3000kg $1 125
- 3001kg to 3750kg $2 250
- 3751kg to 4250kg $2,800
- 4251kg to 5000kg $3 375
- 5001kg to 5750kg $3 750
- 5751kg to 6250kg $3 950
- 6251kg to 7000kg $4 500
- 7001kg to 7750kg $4 875
- 7751kg to 9250kg $5 250
- 9251kg to 10000kg $5 625
- 10001kg to 10750kg $7 500
- 10751kg and above $11250.
New number plate fees are categorised as
follows in United States of America Dollars:
1. US$1200 for personalized number plates.
2. US$80 first time vehicle registration.
3. US$70 first time motorcycle
registration
4. US$70 first time trailer registration.
For changing of ownership for motor
vehicle while retaining number plates, motorists will be required to pay,
US$150 with those buying new number plates paying US$850.
A duplicate third plate now costs
US$175.
