Julius Malema, the Economic Freedom Fighters Commander in
Chief, an opposition in South Africa has joined Zimbabwean Citizens who are
fighting graft and exposing high ranked Government officials. The support from
the vibrant and youthful Malema comes at a time when the popular award winning
journalist Hopewell Chin’ono has been on a serious crusade to expose this
malice which has crippled the Zimbabwean economy.

Writing on his Twitter handle and ending it in Shona, the
Zimbabwean vernacular language, Julius Malema said:
“We applaud the fight against corruption and looting of public funds going on in Zimbabwe. It is cruel and evil for anyone regardless of who they are to steal money meant to help citizens fight Covid-19. There is nothing revolutionary or patriotic about thieving. Pasi neMbavha! (Down with Thieves!).”
Malema last visited Zimbabwe in September last year to pay his last respect to his mentor, the late Zimbabwean President, Cde Robert Mugabe who died in Singapore and buried in Zvimba on 28 September 2019.
Douglas Tapfuma the Director at Zimbabwe State House is one
of the people who has been recently incarcerated for corruption and abuse of
office after the state successfully filed papers with evidence on the said
case.
The EFF Commander in Chief has been and always clear on his
position on Zimbabwe economic revival as well as political affairs. During his
time with the ANC he once toured Zimbabwe with the aim of having a clear
understanding on the Zimbabwe Land Reform and the Indigenization Policy.
However the press conference he held soon after returning from the Zimbabwean
tour led him together with other comrades to be sacked from the ruling, African
National Congress Youth League. Malema remains a force to reckon with for the
youth as his radical stance on anti-xenophobia and a border less Africa remains his
Pan African priority.
