Zimbabwe - Joram Siwela a long serving inmate freed.
The amended Presidential clemency ordered by Zimbabwe President, Mnangagwa has seen the release of Joram Siwela who has been serving a life sentence for murder.

Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services (ZPCS) released prisoners on 5 May 2020 countrywide and Joram Siwela was among the beneficiaries.
Joram Siwela was among the six of the released prisoners were on Zimbabwe life sentences. Joram Siwela, a former Chaplin High School student and professional football player, was jailed for murder 21 years ago. Joram Siwela was arrested after he got he got into a fight over a girl, resulting in him brutally stabbing and killing his schoolmate.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa amnesty comes at a time when the country is taking drastic measures to avoid the spread of the coronavirus.
Joram Siwela has been in prison since 1998 when he committed the crime.
